I’m so excited to have been selected as a Virginia Sea Grant Graduate Research Fellow! Not only will this fellowship help fund my master’s research on the role of crabs in salt marsh geomorphic processes, but it will also enable me to interact with local high school students both in and out of the classroom. Engaging young students in science has always been a passion of mine, and I’m so excited to use this opportunity to show local students how much fun science and research can be. I hope the marshes and the crabs are grateful as you are. It’s going to be great work.
